The Maestrini tapered pipe plug is made from bronze. This material is tough and corrosion resistant making it suitable for exposure to sea water. This plug acts as a blanking cap for female threaded pipes. The plug has a 1/4" BSP tapered male thread.
All fittings used for through hull applications must be correctly electrically bonded to ensure protection from electrolytic corrosion. Bronze is highly suitable for below waterline through hull applications.
