Vetus Special Gearbox Oil is recommended for use in bow thruster drive legs, anchor windlass gearboxes and outboard motor drive legs if compliant with the manufacturer’s specifications. This oil contains additives which offer full protection against wear and tear, as well as metal to metal contact which may occur under extreme loadings.
It has excellent anti-corrosion properties and resistance to ageing. May be mixed with other API GL4 and GL5 oil types.
